Even if by some weird twist in space-time reality they did somehow add an auction house, better party and guild managing options, and far-going character customisation, and all the other obvious and standard things they somehow didn't find important enough to put in GW1, it would be too late now anyway when many of us have already put thousands of hours into GW. So they might as well work extra hard for GW2 and make sure it comes as close to our (probably unreasonably unrealistic) expectations as possible.

We aren't really entitled to anything. We got what we paid for. We asked the guy behind the counter for a tasty serving of Guild Wars and we got just that. To this day it's still an incredibly solid game. It's just a game that you come to, log-in, and play. It was never made to keep you "hooked". It's just an online RPG with the option of grouping with other players. Nothing less, nothing more - and there's nothing wrong with that.

I think I know why the OP posted this thread, like many players who love Guild Wars, I know I do, and will, no matter what, hang on to the game till the end (thats a thoguth), but at this "transition time" there is always this thoughts that Guild Wars 1 will be no more, (raise hands, i am guilty, been playing other games for a bit and have return to Guild Wars recently), I think its just their ways of expressing their love for a game they love, and I think when Guild Wars 2 comes out, unless you don't buy it or some how can't afford it, I am sure, most of the Guild Wars players, once found that Guild Wars 2 is far "superior" then Guild Wars 1 will start to let go. and move on. If Arena Net is willing to let go of a game they've put so much effort in creating, I am sure, it is time for the players to move on as well.

But I don't think they will let it go. And I do believe Anet has made Master Togo and Brother Mhenlo "move" faster in Vizunah Square mission. I think Master Togo actually was ahead of my H/H one time while I was in HM.

To expect some major improvement to the game (e.g. Auction House, character customization..) is probably not very realistic at this stage of the game's life.

GW is still a very solid game, enjoy what you have for now.

I agree that anet should be dedicating the vast majority of their efforts to creating an awesome GW2 which we will be playing for years to come.

GW is still their game, they should work on it a bit too... We dont want entire campaigns, renewed system, new graphic, etc. We just want some "little" things like auction house, etc.
for a big company like Anet it shuldn't be of a problem to do it >_> Don't think you need 20+ ppl for thing liek this(do you?).

Anet owes us nothing.. We payed, we played... Once they've made their money, there's no incentive for them to upkeep it.

Anet is Inevitable... All you can do is adapt.

Bryant summed this up nicely. And since the topic really is addressed numerous times on this board, not to mention Toxage that you have a thread covering a lot of these points in Sardelac all ready... Closed.
